Although rumors about the features and details of the Splinter Cell remake have been exciting, the game was absent from all summer showcases. Overall, to the deep disappointment of fans of this classic stealth series, Ubisoft seems to have been ignoring its own stealth IP. However, a new leak has brought hope for the project's future... at least offering a glimpse into the visual results of Splinter Cell Remake.
MP1st journalists discovered a batch of concept art and early 3D assets in the public portfolio of an artist who previously worked at Ubisoft Toronto, created around 2024. Based on the released materials, these contents correspond to the game's opening level, a mission set in the capital of Georgia, where Sam Fisher travels to find two missing CIA agents.
The leaked images reveal a detailed courtyard in Tbilisi, sun-drenched alleys covered in graffiti, and restaurant facades with signs for traditional cuisine. The walls are plastered with campaign posters for the game's main antagonist, the future dictator President Kombayn Nikoladze. The scene also includes newspaper clippings with notes and developer Easter eggs. Interestingly, the posters are dated 2004, which is when the original Splinter Cell story takes place, indicating that the developers have not changed the timeline of events in the remake.
Despite recent internal restructuring at Ubisoft Toronto, representatives from the publisher have assured that production of the remake has not been affected. Furthermore, Game Director David Grivel has returned to lead development. According to initial estimates from insiders, the new Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell may be released in late 2027.
