Recently,Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posted a teaser for the Xiaomi 18 Fold, showcasing the new device's "Xiao Ai Inspiration Sphere" feature, which enables easy dragging for precise identification of text and image information, allowing complex operations to be completed efficiently with a simple action. Lei Jun also stated on Weibo: "Isn't this experience super cool?"
It is reported thatSuper Xiao Ai Inspiration Sphere is a new interaction method introduced with Xiaomi HyperOS 4, scheduled to launch in beta version within September.Xiaomi stated that it will meticulously refine drag-and-drop animations and optimize content recognition accuracy.
Notably, the Xiaomi 18 Fold will serve as the debut platform for multiple self-developed Xiaomi technologies. According to official statements, Xiaomi has applied its accumulated expertise from the past five years in chips, materials, structural design, and key technologies to this product.
The new device will debut with Xiaomi's self-developed Xuanjie O3 AI flagship SoC, alongside the next-generation Xiaomi HyperOS 4 and the Xiaomi MiMo on-device large model, marking the first convergence of these three cutting-edge self-developed technologies on the Xiaomi 18 Fold.
In terms of design, the Xiaomi 18 Fold features an ultra-narrow symmetrical bezel design with super-elliptical large rounded corners. The back adopts a racetrack-shaped camera module, while the sides feature a flat-wrapped middle frame, resulting in a cleaner and more streamlined overall aesthetic.
