Recently, the official team behind Lords of the Fallen 2 launched a character popularity contest, releasing artwork of two female characters, Lythienne and Athena, and initiating a fun voting interaction asking "Lythienne vs. Athena, who will win?", which sparked lively discussion within the community.
Both characters are clad in full sets of black dark armor, but their character designs and weapon styles differ significantly. Lythienne has white hair, wields a thorned spear, and wears a helmet mask that covers most of her face, giving her a cold and mysterious aura; her armored skirt features slits that reveal her thighs. Athena has long brownish hair, wears a crown-like helmet, and wields a longsword. Her face is fully visible, and her armor features a deep V-neck and short skirt design, with a cape complementing the overall look for a more flamboyant appearance.
Lords of the Fallen 2 is scheduled for release in Q1 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The game previously sparked controversy among players due to its bold female armor designs, with the developers stating that the characters balance power fantasy with aesthetic expression.
