Following the success of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Focus Entertainment is currently developing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. The development team plans to avoid using AI in the production of Space Marine 3.
According to IGN, Saber Interactive has confirmed that generative AI will not be used in the development of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3.
Previously, some fans questioned whether the studio's interest in AI tools would affect its upcoming Warhammer 40,000 sequel. In response, the official team provided clarification. These concerns stemmed from Saber Interactive's newly announced title, Rideshare Simulator, a simulation game built around generative AI systems.
However, for Space Marine 3, the studio does not intend to use this technology.
"There is absolutely no generative AI in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. But as we've said, we do conduct some experiments. You can try it out in Rideshare Simulator."
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on September 10, 2024. Its recent reviews on Steam are "Very Positive," while the Simplified Chinese reviews are "Mixed."
