On September 3, Microsoft announced major adjustments to its Xbox Cloud Gaming service. Starting in November, monthly subscribers will have a cap on their monthly usage time. The initial plan appears somewhat restrictive, and Xbox Game Pass members will also face simultaneous usage limits.
·Specific changes are as follows:
Game Pass Ultimate: 15 hours
Game Pass Premium: 10 hours
Game Pass Essential: 5 hours
Microsoft stated that players' unrestricted use of cloud gaming led to increased official operating costs. Although the allocated time may seem limited, Microsoft indicated that based on existing player data, only about 4% of users will be significantly affected by this change.
