Skystone Games and Streetlamp Studio have announced that Zero Slash will be released in Spring 2027. The game will launch on PS5, and on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The limited-time demo for Zero Slash is now available on PS5 and Steam, running until September 23 at 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET. This demo offers up to 10 hours of gameplay, surpassing the scale of previous closed beta tests and offline demos.
Zero Slash is a side-scrolling roguelike action platformer featuring a 3D anime art style. Players take on the role of a "Time Hacker" traversing multiple timelines, engaging in continuous ground and aerial combat. By combining different abilities, upgrades, and meta-progression systems, players can craft their own combat styles while gradually uncovering the truth behind the world.
The demo adds Hamlet as a playable character. This stage robot wields a longsword and shield, capable of reconfiguring his weapons during combat, excelling at close-range area attacks against groups of enemies. After completing the first run with Nyx or Fina, players can interact with specific characters at the camp and meet timeline and mission conditions in subsequent runs to unlock Hamlet.
Eric and Ye will also make their debut as challengeable hidden bosses in the demo. Both characters have previously appeared in demos or trailers; Eric was an early enemy encountered during the tutorial, while Ye appeared as an NPC across various maps. This demo will also showcase sections and scenes from new maps.
The game's roguelike system has been expanded in this demo, adding the "Spatial Infinity" ability along with more buffs and build options. Players can upgrade more chips, unlock additional ability codes, and progress further in meta-progression content.
A new story trailer also reveals HIEROS-I, the "Lord of the Void." Players must traverse multiple timelines and complete prerequisite challenges before they can face him for the first time. The development team also plans to host live streams on Steam and their official community channels from September 4 to 7, introducing core gameplay mechanics and details about this demo.
