Recently, HIGH-END GAMES, the development team behind the rhythm game PLATiNA :: LAB, revealed preview information for the official 1.0 version through an official livestream. The game will officially end its Early Access period and launch version 1.0 on September 10.
For version 1.0, the developers announced that the game will add official Chinese language support. Players who were previously hesitant due to language barriers will then be able to experience the story and character interactions without obstacles.
At the same time, the base game price will see a significant permanent reduction. With the full release, the price in the China region will be adjusted to 60 CNY, and a limited-time 15% discount along with bundle offers will be available for two weeks after launch. Version 1.0 Update: Comprehensive Experience Upgrade
The 1.0 release is not a minor patch, but a massive update across multiple dimensions including story, characters, and gameplay.
Regarding the story, Chapter 1 will officially launch in v1.0. Players will take on the role of Decoders with special talents, exploring the encrypted data world alongside researchers Irene, Bambi, and Cake. Meanwhile, the Archives welcome six new DB characters, each with their own unique personalities and background stories.
The game will also add a "My Data" feature, systematically presenting data such as login count, number of items held, and growth trends.
The sticker collection system will also launch simultaneously. Complete important in-game goals to earn cute stickers, and fill out your collection album once you've gathered them all. A newly implemented player leaderboard allows you to check your ranking on specific charts and browse other players' error positions and judgment details.
In terms of customization, the game has added two new options: hit sounds and titles. Combined with existing options like devices, notes, avatar icons, and profile backgrounds, players' personalization choices have been further expanded.
Version 1.0 will also add two features particularly friendly to new players: first, a complete tutorial stage before starting the game to help newcomers get up to speed quickly; second, most tracks in the library that previously required unlocking via the "Research Log" mode are now permanently available by default. New players can experience them directly upon purchase without needing extra unlocks.
Additionally, all DB characters will have new "Message" rewards unlocked at Affinity Level 10, and most characters will have new "Sticker" rewards unlocked at Level 7. Players who already reached the corresponding affinity levels during Early Access can claim these immediately after the update.
Two Brand-New DLC Song Packs Launch Alongside 1.0
In addition to the base game updates, two brand-new DLC song packs will launch simultaneously with the version update—
DLC [SWEETIE;S]
The DLC with the largest number of playable tracks to date! It includes 24 brand-new original songs. Each track comes with its own exclusive background animation. Even better, the DLC will unlock a new skin for the DB character Cake, as well as various themed appearances and avatar decorations including devices and notes, keeping you company while you play.
DLC [Flagship Collection]
This is a celebratory song pack released to mark the official 1.0 launch. It features well-known IP tracks from Korea and overseas in various styles, including hit songs like "Renai Circulation" and "Denpa no Mousou Bishoujo Q." Some of these tracks are also available for free to base game players! Two paid soundtracks will also be released simultaneously, and purchasing DLC or soundtracks in bundles offers additional discounts.
All players who have purchased and added PLATiNA :: LAB to their library before the permanent price drop at 11:00 AM (Beijing Time) on September 10 (including those activating via Steam keys, who must also complete activation and addition to library before this time) will receive the following exclusive rewards for free upon the 1.0 release:

Existing Systems, Fully "Revamped"

The song selection interface has received an intuitive upgrade. The new interface adds sections like "New Songs" and "Popular Tracks" to category filters, and introduces sorting and favorites functions. The completion status display for each song has also become clearer—for players who enjoy "clearing charts," this at-a-glance progress view provides more motivation to continue playing.
In terms of details, voice interaction scenes for DB characters have been further expanded. Character voices can now be triggered in various situations such as maintaining combos, completing sections, or making judgment errors, making the playing process feel more companionable.
