Open-World Bullet Hell RPG "Mana Alchemy" Announced, Featuring Hand-Crafted Magic System

The story centers on a young girl born without magical talent. The Great Witch gave birth to eight daughters, but she was the only one unable to use magic. On the night of her fifth birthday, she was abandoned by her mother and survived by relying on a mysterious talking grimoire named "Harry," embarking on a journey of rebellion and revenge.

Players take on the role of the young girl Merlin, exploring Shudar Island under the rule of the Great Witch. This interconnected island features a seamless design with no loading screens, encompassing diverse areas such as plains and waterways. Monsters roam the island, making combat an essential part of the exploration experience.

During combat, spells equipped in the grimoire are cast automatically, with players focusing on movement to dodge attacks and clear waves of enemies. Spell configuration determines attack patterns; players can gather materials and combine them with existing magic through alchemy to create new spells.

Completed spells must be placed into the grimoire like puzzle pieces, with different arrangements and combinations forming corresponding battle configurations. While simplifying real-time controls, the game makes spell combination the core of its build system.

Merlin must ultimately confront the seven sisters who rule the island. After defeating each sister, players must choose between execution and mercy, decisions that will shape the ending of this dark fantasy tale. Mana Alchemy has been confirmed for PC, though a release date has yet to be announced.
