Frictional Games has released a 10-minute gameplay demo for their sci-fi thriller, The Entity. The video focuses on protagonist Aditi exploring a lunar research base, gathering clues, and solving puzzles.
According to the game's setting, Aditi arrives at the "Samsara" base on the Moon. Originally a hotel, it was later converted into a research center to conduct a series of mysterious experiments.
The gameplay in this demo is relatively slow-paced, focusing on investigating the interior spaces of the research center. Aditi will inspect laboratories and interact with experimental animals, including lab mice and other creatures within The Facilty, while trying to uncover the nature of these experiments.
Finding clues and solving puzzles are also key elements of the demo. Players need to carefully examine the environment and collect scattered pieces of information to advance the story. This gameplay style was previously featured in the trailer revealed at Gamescom.
Frictional Games, known for developing SOMA and the Amnesia series, unveiled The Entity at The Game Awards 2025. Originally scheduled for a 2026 release, it was delayed to 2027 this summer, with no specific launch date announced yet.
The Entity is planned for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series platforms. The PC version will be available on Steam and GOG, with the Steam store page now live.
