Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2026, confirming that four upcoming PS5 games will have playable demos at the event. Visitors can try out Monster Hunter Wilds: Overcome, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Marvel's Wolverine, and Ace Combat 8: Wings of Hymn at the PlayStation booth.
Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be held from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. Of the four titles offering demos, one is Marvel's Wolverine from PlayStation Studios, while the other three come from publishing partners.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Overcome is a major story expansion DLC for Monster Hunter Wilds. It continues the base game's storyline, adding new wildlands, monsters, enhanced hunter actions, and Master Rank quests.
A demo of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will also be available, allowing attendees to get an early taste of the final chapter in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. The game is scheduled for release in Spring 2027.
Marvel's Wolverine is set for official release on September 15, with a demo becoming available at the show shortly after launch. Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, this action-adventure title lets players experience the combat feel of Wolverine's adamantium claws at the event.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Hymn will also have a playable demo at the PlayStation booth. This new flight shooter from Bandai Namco is the latest mainline entry in the series and marks its 30th anniversary.
PlayStation Plus members with Japanese region accounts can also reserve demo slots in advance. Sony stated that further details regarding the reservation process will be announced later.
The PlayStation booth will also feature a new exclusive lounge for content creators, along with developer interviews and live gameplay demonstrations. Visitors who try any of the demo games will receive an original PlayStation PVC mini pouch with a carabiner, featuring designs themed around PlayStation, Astro Bot, Toro, and Ape Escape.
Tokyo Game Show 2026 will hold business days on September 17 and 18, followed by public days from September 19 to 21, all taking place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture.
