Square Enix has announced its lineup for the 2026 Tokyo Game Show, with Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth available for play at its booth. As the concluding title of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, a playable demo will be accessible throughout the event.
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on April 8, 2027. Its appearance at TGS 2026 will allow attendees to experience the game months before its release.
The Square Enix booth will also feature photo spots themed around Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. During public open days, limited-edition tote bags co-branded with Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth and Final Fantasy XIV will be distributed.
Final Fantasy: Resonance will also be available for play at the Square Enix booth. The game is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 22, 2026.
Dragon Quest Monsters: Withered Realm will host a "Fluffy Meet-and-Greet" event during the show; Dragon Quest VII Remake will be available for play in the Family Game Park area at TKP Makuhari Messe Tokyo Bay during public open days.
Square Enix's full lineup also includes Final Fantasy XIV, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition, Kingdom Hearts I-III Collection, Kingdom Hearts IV, Dragon Quest X Online, Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, and Dragon Quest Smash & Grow.
However, Kingdom Hearts IV is not included in the playable or event lineup, appearing only in the video showcase. The game is currently planned for release in late 2027.
During the 2026 Tokyo Game Show, Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth will be one of the core playable highlights at the Square Enix booth.
