"Home Wiggler" Launches on Steam, Players Play as a Work-from-Home Worm

Homebody Worm, a physics-based simulation game developed by two people, has launched on Steam. Players take on the role of a work-from-home worm, handling corporate affairs while striving for promotion to Senior Financial Analyst.

The story begins with a phone call from the boss. After six years of work, the protagonist finally gets a chance for promotion but must increase productivity to prove they can handle more responsibility, all while keeping their true identity hidden from colleagues.

Tasks will gradually appear on the task board, including replying to colleagues' emails and filling out spreadsheets. Some tasks require players to explore their surroundings to find necessary information, while others involve mathematical calculations and pattern recognition.

Some tasks have strict deadlines, requiring players to control the worm to move around the room and complete objectives within the time limit. The physics simulation mechanics affect movement, making accurate positioning and item interaction part of the challenge.

After work, players need to maintain a "worm-life balance" by exercising, reading, shopping, and unlocking cosmetic items, primarily hats. The game also offers options to flirt with colleagues and use insider information to manipulate stock trades.

The game also features a mascot character parodying Microsoft Office's "Clippy," who provides commentary and action guidance. Homebody Worm is now available on Steam.
