Double Fine Productions has announced the chaotic bus driving game "Thank You, Good Driver." The title will launch on PC via Steam, GOG, Humble Store, and itch.io, with no release date confirmed yet.
Players take on the role of a small-town bus driver, completing their daily tasks with as few rule violations as possible. The bus company's regulations change daily, and new rules are constantly added in the garage, creating more situations to handle during trips.
Maintaining order inside the bus is a key task for the driver. When encountering unruly passengers, players can slap them as a reminder; repeat offenders can have their riding privileges revoked by ejecting them through the back door.
Rushing to the next stop is also a core objective. Players can check the map while turning or cut through cornfields for shortcuts. Pedestrians, oncoming traffic, and roadside fences appear along the route, but passengers care most about whether the vehicle arrives before they lose patience.
Each trip has a time limit, and players must reach the station before the countdown ends. "Thank Yous" from passengers add extra time, so maintaining passenger satisfaction directly impacts whether the trip can continue.
Accumulating more "Thank Yous" unlocks additional bus decorations, town variants, and more. Players must manage passenger order while arriving at stations on time; the specific release date is yet to be announced by Double Fine Productions.
