New releases, mobile launches, demos, and Steam store pages to roll out from September through year-end as STORYTACO expands its K-FMV lineup

Global story-driven game developer STORYTACO has unveiled its FMV (full-motion video) roadmap for the last quarter of 2026. From September through the end of the year, the company plans to expand its FMV lineup through platform expansions for existing titles, new game launches, demo releases, and new Steam store pages.
According to the roadmap, STORYTACO will begin expanding its platforms in September with the mobile release of two existing FMV titles. In October, the company will launch a new title while also releasing the demo for The Serena Villa Files, participating in Steam Next Fest, and opening mobile pre-registration. At the same time, STORYTACO will officially reveal more of its upcoming lineup by opening Steam store pages for Five Hearts Under One Roof Season 3 and What the K-Drama?!
In November, STORYTACO is scheduled to launch another new FMV title. In December, The Serena Villa Files will launch simultaneously on PC and mobile. What the K-Drama?! will also give players their first look at the game through a demo release and mobile pre-registration in December. Seasonal promotions will also run throughout the period, including an autumn sale in October, a publisher sale in November, and a winter sale in December.

Collaboration with a Popular Chinese FMV Actor: Wang Han’s First Korean Project, The Serena Villa Files
One of the key titles in STORYTACO’s late-2026 lineup is The Serena Villa Files. The game stars Wang Han, a popular actor with strong recognition in the Chinese FMV market, and is also drawing attention as the first Korean FMV project to feature a Chinese actor.
Players take on the role of a security guard newly hired at a women-only residence where men are normally not allowed. From the very first day, suspicious incidents begin to unfold, pulling players into a mystery surrounding the building and its five residents. By combining STORYTACO’s FMV production expertise with Wang Han’s established fanbase in China, the company aims to reach not only Korean players but also global audiences, including the Greater China market.

Flagship IP Five Hearts Under One Roof Returns with Season 3
STORYTACO’s flagship FMV series Five Hearts Under One Roof is also moving forward with the production of Season 3. The series is one of the company’s most popular FMV IPs and has helped drive STORYTACO’s FMV business by expanding beyond the game itself to build a global fanbase around its cast members.
Season 3 will introduce a new story built on the strong global fandom established through the previous entries. STORYTACO plans to begin full-scale pre-launch marketing with the opening of the game’s Steam store page in October.

Showbox Collaboration What the K-Drama?! to Raise FMV Production Quality
Another major title in STORYTACO’s late-2026 lineup is What the K-Drama?!, co-produced with film investor and distributor Showbox.
The game follows a protagonist who suddenly finds themselves trapped inside the world of an over-the-top K-drama, where they must survive a tangled web of chaebol family schemes, birth secrets, love, and betrayal. From kimchi slaps and arranged marriages to fierce succession battles, the game reimagines iconic K-drama tropes through an interactive FMV format.
By combining STORYTACO’s experience in interactive game development with Showbox’s film and video production capabilities, the company aims to deliver an even higher level of cinematic polish through this FMV title. The Steam store page is scheduled to open in October, followed by a demo release and mobile pre-registration in December.
STORYTACO has continued to build its FMV business through a growing slate of titles, including the Five Hearts Under One Roof series. The company is diversifying its production approach through sequels based on its own popular IPs, co-productions with Korean video production companies, and collaborations with popular overseas actors. At the same time, STORYTACO is expanding its previously PC-focused FMV titles to mobile platforms, creating more touchpoints with players worldwide.
