The Grand Theft Auto V roleplay server NoPixel V will go live on September 8. This version has official support from Rockstar and will feature major overhauls to the game map, character systems, visuals, and interaction mechanics. However, the initial closed beta will be available only to streamers.
NoPixel V recently released its launch trailer and shared more changes through development updates. Although the server is still based on Grand Theft Auto V, textures, buildings, and environments in multiple areas have been remade, including downtown Los Santos and the Cypress Flats apartment district. The original Mile High Club building will also be replaced by a new, fully functional structure.
The new server will offer over 1,000 purchasable properties, apartments, and homes, along with a batch of new interior spaces that can be entered. Buildings will also feature parallax interior effects to enhance depth perception, while map vegetation, environmental details, lighting, and shaders will be adjusted accordingly.
Character-related systems have also been expanded. NoPixel V will redesign character models and customization options, adding over 270 custom clothing items, and revamping menus, HUD, and in-game interfaces. Animation and movement systems will also be updated, allowing players to perform actions such as climbing, crouching, and leaning.
NPCs and scene objects will offer new ways to interact. These details come from NoPixel team's fourth development update released on September 4. The team also plans to continue showcasing new technical and gameplay features before the server launches.
The aforementioned changes apply exclusively to the NoPixel V roleplay server and are not general updates for Grand Theft Auto V's standard mode. NoPixel plans to gradually allow regular players to join during subsequent testing phases and the official release, but whitelist servers typically have entry requirements.
NoPixel's gameplay also differs from the standard mode. Players must continuously play their assigned characters, participate in jobs and daily activities, and abide by server rules; some of Grand Theft Auto V's original chaotic gameplay elements will remain. NoPixel V will first launch its closed beta for streamers on September 8.
