The third-party service CS2 Tracker has added a Slur Tracker feature, publicly tracking the use of slurs in Counter-Strike 2 chat. Some players seem to be intentionally using these words to boost their leaderboard rankings.
This feature records how many times players use specific slurs and expressions in game chat, establishing public leaderboards based on this data. Players can thus directly view their own rankings as well as those of other users.
Some players didn't try to avoid the leaderboard; instead, they appeared to deliberately increase their use of slurs, creating an unusual competition for higher rankings.
The numbers have already seen a significant increase. On one of the leaderboards, a player needs at least 976 instances of a particular slur to break into the top 25. The user Billypastaking currently remains at the top.
