"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" themed Switch 2 and other products start selling out in multiple regions, with price hikes on second-hand platforms

Shortly after the announcement of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time-themed Nintendo Switch 2 and various accompanying merchandise, stock began to run out in some stores across the United States, Europe, and Australia. Items experiencing tight supply include the themed console, the matching Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, and related limited-edition products.

The Young Link and Princess Zelda amiibo figures released at the same time have also drawn attention, with physical copies of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time seeing reduced stock at some retailers. Some limited-edition items have already appeared on platforms like eBay, listed at prices higher than the original retail price.

This product launch coincides with the 40th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remastered is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026, while the themed console and matching Pro Controller will be released a week earlier, on October 29.

In addition to the themed console and controller, two new amiibo figures are planned for release in 2027. Current shortages are concentrated in certain stores, and inventory levels may still vary by region and retail channel.
