Recently, developer ShyVox released an all-in-one mod plugin called DLSS Unlocked, bringing both DLSS 5 neural rendering and multi-frame generation to the entire RTX 20, RTX 30, and RTX 40 series graphics cards, compatible with both Windows and Linux platforms.
Previously, the community had several separate mod plugins offering similar functionalities, but they were scattered across different projects. It was not easy for average users to figure out which ones to install and how to combine them.
DLSS Unlocked bundles the project components together, with OptiScaler_DLSSNR handling DLSS 5 neural rendering and DLSS Enabler managing multi-frame generation. Users can download the executable from GitHub and select the game's root directory to complete the injection.
The prerequisite is that the game must natively support the DirectX 12 API and have built-in DLSS upscaling and frame generation features. Additionally, due to legal reasons, the plugin itself does not include cracked DLSS 5 DLL files; users need to provide them separately.
Different generations of graphics cards also operate differently. The RTX 20 and RTX 30 series lack NVIDIA's native frame generation pipeline, so all frame interpolation is handled by AMD FSR 3.1.
The situation is more complex for the RTX 40 series: the second frame is generated via NVIDIA's native DLSS frame generation, while the third frame and subsequent frames are processed by FSR 3.1, achieving up to 6x multi-frame generation.
This hybrid NVIDIA and AMD solution relies on another plugin called DLSSG to FSR3, allowing NVIDIA's frame generation output to be taken over by FSR 3.1 for further frame interpolation.
Note that such plugins are not suitable for multiplayer online games, as anti-cheat systems may detect them as abnormal behavior and trigger account bans.
