Today, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remaster will be released on November 5. While many players are eager to play the game, a large number of fans seem displeased with the art style chosen for the remaster, comparing it to Unreal Engine 5 fan projects.
Many pointed out that the original Ocarina of Time had a very unique and gorgeous visual style, so the direction taken by the remaster is truly disappointing. Especially the character models, whose visual design feels quite eerie, even creating an unnatural sense of weirdness.
Some players have also compared this difference in art style to Bluepoint Games' Demon's Souls Remake, suggesting that Nintendo has actually adopted a similar approach for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
What's more, some players have outright called The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remaster "AI garbage," believing it looks like something generated by AI based on prompts related to the series.
Of course, not everyone is opposed to the visual style Nintendo chose for the remake. Some believe the development team stayed quite faithful to the original and are looking forward to the upcoming release.
In particular, some fans feel that the remaster looks much better than the classic title Nintendo released on the 3DS.
