Microsoft announced via Xbox Wire that several new features have been rolled out to Xbox Insiders. Insiders can test new features early and provide feedback before they are released to general users.
The most notable feature in this update is the customizable console startup animation. Users can choose their preferred boot sequence from various generations of Xbox consoles, although the original Xbox and Xbox 360 are not currently included but may be added in the future. Current options include the new "We Are Xbox" sequence, as well as those for Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series S/X. Users can also choose whether to play sound during startup.
Other new features include: profile pages can now display five proud "badges"; local search functionality in the achievements system has been improved; Remote Play has been enhanced to support higher-resolution gameplay via cloud streaming, and if your internet connection is fast enough, you can even download games while playing them in the cloud. Additionally, there are undisclosed improvements to party features, with enhanced voice quality during chat.
It is currently unclear when these features will be available to the public, as it typically takes one to three months.
