Since then, the renowned game designer has yet to announce a tentative release date for his next major project, but that could change soon. According to the leaked information, Microsoft and Kojima Productions plan to open pre-orders and unveil a new trailer during The Game Awards ceremony on December 10, with the horror game reportedly scheduled for release on March 26, 2027.
Although the source of this rumor is rather questionable, it is interesting to note that the news emerged against the backdrop of another significant event: Physint, Kojima's tactical stealth-action game, has officially changed publishers. The publishing duties will now be handled by Xbox instead of PlayStation.
