Data shows that in just the past week, GTA 6 added 350,000 new pre-orders. Platform distribution is quite distinct. PlayStation platforms account for approximately 4.06 million pre-orders, generating $397 million in revenue, which represents 77% of all pre-orders. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X|S platform has around 1.21 million pre-orders, generating $119 million in revenue, accounting for 23%. The PS5 has emerged as the dominant platform for pre-orders.

Looking back at the trend, after the extended gameplay demo was released on August 27, pre-orders for GTA 6 surged dramatically. The single-day pre-order increase reached 436%, with a two-day overall growth of 572%, as many players placed their orders after watching the gameplay footage.

Please note that these are estimated figures from third-party agencies, not official sales data released by Rockstar or Take-Two, so actual numbers may vary. Given the current pre-order momentum, the game's first-week and first-month sales will serve as a key indicator for measuring the market size of this generation of consoles.
