It's Friday again, and the Epic Games Store is bringing another round of free games. This week, PC players can claim two distinct action titles for free: Astral Ascent and Sky Force.
First up is Astral Ascent, a fast-paced 2D action Roguelite developed by Hibernian Workshop.
You will play as one of four heroes trapped in the "Garden"—an astral prison guarded by 12 powerful bosses known as the "Zodiac." You must fight your way through different areas, experiment with various spells and builds, and gradually work towards escape.
The second free game is Sky Force, a crazy arcade shooter developed by Vlambeer, originally released in 2014.
You will pilot a small fighter jet, battling waves of enemy planes, ships, and other threats while chasing high scores. You can also mix and match different weapons, fuselages, and engines to create over 125 aircraft combinations.

Another wave of Prime Gaming free games is now available for all members to claim. This time, Amazon has prepared a game bundle featuring two heavyweight classics—DOOM + DOOM II—as well as the block-dropping Roguelite Tetris Kingdom and the puzzle game Botany Manor, set in 19th-century England.
Microsoft Xbox Platform
Join the Free Play Days! Borderlands 4, F1 25: 2026 Season Edition, Surviving Mars: Rebooted, and CarX Drift Racing Online will be available this weekend. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can play from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13.
Dustborn will offer a two-hour trial and discounts from September 11 to September 13.
Additionally, EA Sports Madden NFL 27 will be available for free trial to all Xbox members from September 11 to September 13 (no Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential membership required).
