Unreleased Foldable iPhone Duo Sparks Frenzy, Resale Prices Soar to 99,000

The recent Apple product launch has once again sent Apple fans into a frenzy. "Should I upgrade or not?" Many consumers are grappling with this dilemma on social media following the release of the new iPhone. The biggest highlight of this launch—Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo—has ignited widespread online excitement.

On September 10, the iPhone Duo was officially unveiled. According to official information, storage options include 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB. The starting price in mainland China is 15,999 yuan, with pre-orders beginning on October 16 and sales starting on October 23.

As soon as the new device was released, hype in the secondary market heated up rapidly. Kuai Technology's search on major second-hand trading platforms like Xianyu revealed that numerous scalpers had already listed services for securing first-release iPhone Duo units or pre-ordering available stock, with some even quoting an exorbitant price of 99,000 yuan.

However, real-time platform data shows that there are currently no actual transaction records for these high-priced listings.

After communicating with secondary market vendors, Kuai Technology learned that the current overall markup for the iPhone Duo across the web is generally around 5,000 yuan.

Even the lowest configuration models see price markups generally exceeding 1,000 yuan. Notably, the premium for top-tier models with 1TB and 2TB capacities continues to rise, making them the primary targets for scalpers.
