In fact, this nudist resort claims that some reviewers are attempting to extort the establishment.
Data-mining enthusiasts claim that the real-life prototype for the nudist resort in GTA 6 is Cypress Cove Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. This resort features a 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, and kayaking activities, and guests can dine at the 'Cheeky BBQ Bar' after a day of fun. According to reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor, it was originally a popular and highly rated vacation spot. However, checking Google reviews reveals that the situation has become chaotic: prankster netizens are repeatedly referencing GTA 6 and Jason Duval in their reviews, forcing Cypress Cove's management to post responses explaining the situation to genuine customers, which they are quite unhappy about.
The problem is that these people aren't just giving the venue a humorous five-star rating or making inside jokes; they are fabricating so-called 'incidents' in their reviews. Many mentioned a man wandering around the premises, peeping at guests with binoculars. For a business operating a nudist resort, having such content appear in public reviews is no laughing matter.
As a result, Cypress Cove issued a strongly worded response to at least one of the reviews, while playing a game of 'whack-a-M.O.L.E' deleting dozens of other emerging comments. The response did include some GTA 6 references ('Thanks for your interest in the GTA storyline, but Cypress Cove is located in Florida, not Leonida'), but also firmly stated that some reviewers demanded payment from the resort in exchange for removing their reviews. As of press time, comments containing such threats have been cleared, suggesting Cypress Cove successfully pushed Google to take down this content. This move was quite effective, as the resort stated: 'Unfortunately, 'online ransom' is not a line item in our marketing budget.'
