Off by One Games has announced that the physics-based co-op adventure game Trash Day will launch on PC via Steam on October 13. Due to time zone differences, it is expected to unlock in Japan on October 14. The game supports single-player and online co-op for up to six players, and plans to include a Simplified Chinese interface.
The Road Home. Along the way, you can collect various items from human society, load them onto your cart, and sell them at checkpoints, aiming to earn as much money as possible before reaching the destination. Players can also use their earnings to purchase items such as raccoon skins.
The map includes areas such as mountain paths, countryside, and rivers. Players can push the handcart or drag it forward with ropes; upon discovering houses, they can sneak inside to search for items or rummage through trash, then load their findings onto the cart.
The transportation process is far from smooth. Teams must navigate narrow bridges, stairs, and trap-laden sections, sometimes even riding rafts downriver. The handcart has no brakes, so if it loses control or tips over on downhill slopes, loaded items may scatter everywhere.
Both the main body of the handcart and its individual wheels have durability stats; they will break after sustained damage and need timely repairs. Animals and humans may also appear along the way, attempting to steal your cargo. In multiplayer mode, players can divide tasks such as pushing the cart, pulling ropes, or guarding the goods to overcome these obstacles together.
Upon reaching the destination, the system will tally the number of items collected, money earned, and completion time. The development team recommends playing with up to six people, but solo players can also complete the journey alone.
Off by One Games is formed by developers who previously worked on titles like Rocket League, and Trash Day is the studio's debut title. A demo is currently available on Steam, with the full release scheduled for October.
