NC has announced that the global scale test for Aion 2 will begin on September 17, 2026. This marks the first open pre-test for the global version, requiring no pre-registration or invitation. All players can participate via Steam and NC's cross-platform service, PURPLE.
The test will be conducted over two days: the first day runs from 22:00 on September 17 to 04:00 on September 18, and the second day from 04:00 to 10:00 on September 19. Each day offers 6 hours of access, totaling 12 hours. Pre-download for the game client is scheduled to begin at 22:00 on September 16.
Play data generated during the test period is limited to this event and will not carry over to Early Access or the official launch. Aion 2 is scheduled to enter Early Access on September 30, with the official service launching on October 5.
Aion 2 will also offer on-site demos at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which opens on September 17. Visitors can try a special version adjusted for the event at the BenQ Japan, Crowxis, Lenovo Japan, MSI, ROG, and Sofmap booths.
