Shueisha Games has revealed new information about its upcoming soul-choice adventure game, UN:Me. Set in a beautiful yet eerie labyrinth, the game tasks players with conversing with four souls residing within a young girl's body, avoiding incoming trauma while searching for the "true owner of the body."
"Only one can remain"—Choosing and Discarding Souls
The souls who have lost their memories do not initially remember who they are.
All they have is a strong obsession that "I am the true owner of this body."
You will search for these souls' "memory fragments" in a bizarre and unstable labyrinth, engaging them in conversation.
Once you find a "memory fragment," you can ask questions related to it.
By understanding each soul's personality and traits, asking questions, and responding, the souls will gradually rediscover "themselves."
As conversations accumulate, you sometimes soothe them and sometimes provoke them—and these outcomes cause the unstable labyrinth itself to constantly change...
Which soul to keep and which to "discard" is up to you to decide through dialogue.
An Unstable Labyrinth and Unpredictable "Self-Switching"
To find the souls' "memory fragments," you will explore this bizarre and unstable labyrinth.
In this labyrinth, the souls hidden within the girl's heart will take over her body and surface without the player's control.
Each soul has different traumas and specialties, so the incoming trauma, available actions, and reachable locations will change accordingly.
Which "Self" Will Appear Next?
While facing off against souls who claim "I am the real one," you must search for the souls' "memory fragments" within this labyrinth.
Souls with Distinct Traits
Four souls reside in one body. Each time the soul switches, their speech style and attitude change accordingly.
This time, we will introduce the detailed settings for Soul I and Soul III among the four souls.
■ Soul I
・Personality Traits
Speaks whatever comes to mind directly
・Speech Style
Gives the impression of a girl whose demeanor matches her apparent age
・Expression
Emotionally volatile, with intense mood swings
■ Soul III
・Personality Traits
Deeply contemplative
・Speech Style
Uses polite language, but always creates a sense of distance
・Expression
Often gloomy, rarely makes eye contact
Mental Labyrinth: A hospital...?
At first glance, it appears to be an ordinary municipal hospital—
However, the deeper you go, the more bizarre the scenery becomes:
Nurses with cold, emotionless smiles and patients with flowers for heads go about their "daily lives" here.
