The Intel Arc Pro B70 professional graphics card has recently seen significant price increases in multiple global markets, with retail prices in the United States, Germany, and South Korea rising by 26% to 48%.
Based on Intel's Battlemage architecture, the Arc Pro B70 is designed for AI workstations and professional applications. It features 32 Xe2-HPG cores, 256 XMX AI engines, and 32 ray tracing units. Equipped with 32GB of GDDR6 memory, a 256-bit memory bus, and bandwidth reaching 608GB/s, it delivers approximately 22.9 TFLOPS of FP32 performance and 367 TOPS of INT8 performance.
In the US market, the ASRock Arc Pro B70 Creator was priced at $999.99 on Newegg in late June and maintained this level into early August, but has recently been raised to $1,299.99, marking a 30% increase.
The European market followed a similar trend. Data from the price comparison site Geizhals shows that the Arc Pro B70 dropped to around €1,200 in June, stabilized at approximately €1,250 in July, and then saw its lowest price jump to €1,509 in early August, an increase of about 26% from recent lows.
The South Korean market saw the most dramatic increase. Price history from Danawa shows that the card rose from around 1.89 million KRW to approximately 2.8 million KRW, a 48% surge in less than a month.
The core reason is that 32GB of VRAM has become highly sought-after amidst the AI boom, with the supply-demand imbalance for high-VRAM GPUs continuing to drive up prices. If Intel had proceeded with its original plan to release gaming cards with more than 16GB of VRAM, pricing would certainly be very challenging in the current market environment.
