Marvel's New Ghost Rider Movie Set for Release in Late July 2028

In late July this year, Marvel officially announced that Ryan Gosling would play the next Ghost Rider. The film is directed by Shawn Levy, director of Deadpool & Wolverine. At the time, Marvel only stated that the movie would be released in 2028 without revealing a specific date, but media outlets have now calculated the release date to be July 28, 2028.

Variety pointed out that Disney had previously reserved three release slots for Marvel movies in 2028: May 5, July 28, and December 15. After the D23 Fan Event, the new X-Men film was confirmed for a May 5, 2028 release, while Black Panther 3 is scheduled for December 15, 2028. Therefore, the only remaining slot for Ghost Rider is July 28, 2028.

Ryan Gosling will star as the protagonist in Ghost Rider, with Shawn Levy, director of Deadpool & Wolverine, serving as director. Jonathan Tropper will handle the screenplay. Filming is planned to begin in 2027.
