These images were shared by the leaker account Centro Leaks. The depicted area is thought to correspond to Australia's Northern Territory, including Darwin, Kakadu National Park, Garig Gunak Barlu National Park, and the Tiwi Islands. Previously, speculation mainly focused on Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia as inspirations for the game's setting.
The zoomed-in map image also shows what appears to be a Gym located in the area inspired by Australia. The leak claims that the game's Gym types include Grass, Poison, Flying, Fighting, Dark, Normal, Steel, and Fairy, but it is currently impossible to determine which type the Gym in the image represents.
Also leaked were early concept designs for the Professor reportedly created in 2023, along with images of new characters whose identities are yet to be determined. Rumors also suggest that players will start their journey at a resort hotel where they will meet the Professor, with the hotel potentially serving as a hub for multiplayer gameplay.
