Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced the download size and Eurozone pricing for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of "Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered": the digital download requires 27.8GB of storage space, with the Standard Edition priced at €39.99 and the Deluxe Edition at €69.99. A demo version of the game has already been released.
In addition to the digital version sold on the eShop, a physical edition will also be released, but it comes in the form of a download code card. The 27.8GB figure refers to the download size for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, so players planning to purchase the digital version need to ensure they have sufficient storage space on their console.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, 42 sets of retro costumes based on the original "Dynasty Warriors 2," as well as one Wind Scroll, one Tiger Seal, and one Liu Tao. The Wind Scroll increases attack range by 10, the Tiger Seal increases attack attributes by 10, and the Liu Tao boosts the merits earned by officers. Players can change costumes on the character selection screen and adjust items and weapons during the battle preparation phase; these three items can also be obtained through gameplay.
The Deluxe Edition also includes 42 weapons usable for weapon synthesis, covering all officers, as well as the original officer design artbook for "Dynasty Warriors 2" with developer commentary. The artbook can be viewed in the in-game gallery but cannot be downloaded as a separate file such as a PDF, nor can it be accessed outside the game; the developer commentary is only available in Japanese.
The game was originally scheduled to launch on March 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam), but was subsequently delayed. The new release date is October 1, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms.
