Fans are creating a "Gwent Remastered" mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, planning to bring the full gameplay of the standalone game Gwent: The Witcher Card Game into it. The mod will introduce its rules, cards, and deck-building features, including over 500 cards.
This native mod is built using The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's own interface system. The developers plan to assign unique decks and playstyles to story characters and will open-source the mod to allow others to modify it.
The mod is planned to support the eight languages available in the standalone version of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, and also aims to support the online mod Witcher Online. The developers expect "Gwent Remastered" to be released about two to three months after the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, with Witcher Online support following about a month later.
The developers also revealed that the mod will feature a special Gwent match against Gaunter O'Dimm.
