Sega recently released an official report stating that cumulative sales for the Persona 3 series stand at approximately 5 million copies, while the Persona 4 series has reached 5.7 million copies. Both figures include the original games as well as subsequent related releases.
The sales figures for the Persona 3 series include the original game, Persona 3 FES, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, and Persona 3 Reload. As of June 2026, Persona 3 Reload alone has sold 3 million copies, with the remaining titles contributing approximately 2 million copies combined.
The Persona 4 series has achieved sales of 5.7 million copies. Notably, Persona 4 Golden launched on PC in 2020, allowing the title—previously available exclusively on PS Vita since 2012—to reach a broader audience. By June 2021, sales for this version had reached 2.4 million copies.
From 2020 to 2024, sales of the Persona series nearly doubled. During this period, older titles in the series were successively released on PC and additional platforms. Regional data shows that North America accounts for approximately 40% of total series sales, Japan for about 20%, with Europe and other parts of Asia each accounting for roughly 20%.
The series has also released titles tailored to different regions, including Persona 5 Royal and Persona: The Phantom X. The former launched simultaneously in 15 languages, while the latter went live in China and other parts of Asia in 2024, before arriving in Japan and North America in 2025. Current data does not separately include the performance of this free-to-play game in the sales figures for the aforementioned paid titles.
