Blizzard recently confirmed that after the release of Diablo V, Diablo IV seasons will continue, but the latter will no longer receive expansions. Diablo V was previously announced at BlizzCon 2026.
It has been about three years since the launch of Diablo IV, and recent seasons have still included substantial content. Season 15 even introduced small-scale remakes of campaigns from previous entries in the series. Therefore, with the announcement of the new title, how long Diablo IV's seasons will continue has become a concern among players.
Recently, Diablo IV Game Director Brent Gibson stated that the team plans to continue supporting seasons as long as players remain engaged. He also mentioned Diablo II and Diablo III: as long as people are still playing, the team will continue to create content.
Diablo II and Diablo III still maintain seasonal arrangements, although both games currently mainly rotate through past season themes. Gibson did not specify what content structure Diablo IV seasons will adopt after the release of Diablo V.
