The movie "Resident Evil" is currently screening worldwide, and players have brought Brian's story from the film into "Resident Evil 2 Remake." A new mod allows PC players to replace Leon's retro skin with Brian's look, continuing their adventure in Raccoon City.
This mod was released by Nexus Mods user D0ct0rSauce, with character art provided by social media user @mindnumb_opus. D0ct0rSauce showcased the mod and gameplay footage on September 26, just over a week after the movie's release on September 18.
Brian, played by Austin Abrams in the movie, is a delivery courier who travels through Raccoon City. The mod does not aim for a highly detailed cinematic appearance; instead, it features him as a low-polygon character inspired by the original PlayStation games, serving as a replacement for Leon's retro skin.
The movie "Resident Evil" grossed $108 million globally in its opening weekend, setting a new opening weekend record for the film series. It earned approximately another $50 million in its second weekend; as of reporting, the global cumulative box office has exceeded $196.5 million.
