Razer has launched the Hello Kitty and Friends Blind Box Keycap Series, with a six-box set priced at $119.94. Developed in collaboration with Sanrio, the series includes five standard character designs and one chrome-plated hidden variant; individual boxes are also available for purchase. Earlier this spring, Razer released the Hello Kitty Rose Gold edition of the Kraken Kitty V2 headset.
The five standard designs feature Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, My Melody, and Kuromi. Each sealed blind box contains a random character keycap. Purchasing the six-box set guarantees collection of all five standard designs, with the sixth box typically containing a duplicate; the chrome-plated hidden variant appears in approximately one out of every four sets, replacing the duplicate when it occurs, so it is not included in every set.
These keycaps feature multi-part PVC sculpting with pad-printed details and a semi-gloss finish. Dimensions and weight vary by character: 19–44 mm in length, 21–29 mm in width, 24–34 mm in height, and weighing between 6.8 and 10.8 grams. All keycaps use the MX cross-shaped stem interface, making them compatible with mechanical keyboards that support this standard.
In addition to this collaborative blind box series, Razer recently launched its first-ever handcrafted keycap set, the Triple-Headed Snake Edition.
