World of Warcraft: Infinite is still in its testing phase, allowing players to explore large areas of Azeroth. Recently, players discovered a Goblin Black Market Merchant in the new zone "Great River Woodland." He sells expensive crafting materials, as well as a mount speed-boosting item priced at 150 gold.
During the test period, players also found several hidden books; completing related exploration rewards items that aid in leveling up. The uses of some other discovered items remain unclear, and new materials sold by the Black Market Merchant have also caught players' attention.
Some items sold by this merchant cost over 20 gold, which was a significant expense during the classic era of World of Warcraft. These materials can theoretically be obtained through normal gameplay. Some players speculate that the merchant's presence might help cap the prices of rare materials on the Auction House, but this purpose has not yet been confirmed.
Crafting materials sold by the merchant include "Fel Crystal" and "Suffocating Vine." World of Warcraft: Infinite has adjusted professions to make it easier for players to craft gear using them while leveling up; in the current beta test with a level cap of 20, some players have already crafted a full set of gear before reaching max level. The specific uses of the new materials remain to be further revealed.
Among the merchant's goods is a non-crafting material item called "Galloping Gift." The item description indicates it costs 150 gold and increases mount movement speed by 10% for 15 days. Such limited-time mount speed-boosting items did not appear in the classic version of World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft: Infinite is scheduled for an official launch in November, with the level cap fixed at 60. The Black Market Merchant and his wares currently discovered by players are all from the ongoing beta test.
