The semifinals for the inaugural League of Legends 2026 World Star Challenger Invitational (WSCI) have been determined. Both semifinals feature French teams facing off against Korean teams: Solary will take on DN SOOPers Challengers, and Galions will face T1 Esports Academy, as the four teams vie for two spots in the finals.
WSCI is a new tournament for League of Legends secondary league teams. Sixteen teams participated in this edition, with only four remaining; the event is scheduled to crown its first champion on October 2.
Solary previously won the EMEA Masters Winter title but exited early in the LFL Summer playoffs. At WSCI, the team lost only one of their nine matches and defeated Movistar KOI Fénix 3-1 in the quarterfinals. During the group stage, Solary also twice beat Galions, the current LFL and EMEA Masters champions.
Solary's semifinal opponent, DN SOOPers Challengers, qualified by winning the Asian Masters, where they defeated T1 Academy 3-1. However, DN SOOPers Challengers lost twice to T1 Academy during the WSCI group stage, which also allowed the North American team Fuego to secure their only victory of the tournament. In the quarterfinals, they eliminated fellow Korean team Dplus Kia Challengers 3-2.
The other semifinal pits Galions against T1 Esports Academy. Galions defeated KT Rolster Challengers 3-0 in the quarterfinals, while T1 Esports Academy beat the North American team Cupid Esports 3-1. The winners of the two semifinals will advance to the finals to compete for the inaugural WSCI championship.
