EA SPORTS FC 27 is the latest entry in EA's football game series, previously known as FIFA. Players can try the free Lite version first before deciding whether to purchase the full version.
The Lite version offers Kick-Off, gameplay tutorials, online friendlies, and online seasons. In Kick-Off mode, players can use a limited selection of teams for classic matches, custom rule matches, and 3v3 Rush matches; the gameplay tutorials are designed to help players learn basic controls and practice skills.
In online friendlies, players can invite a friend to compete against them; online seasons offer one-on-one matches with promotion competition across different tiers. According to EA's official website, the selectable teams in the Lite version will rotate regularly, so the actual roster available in-game may differ from previously announced lists.
Progress carryover has two requirements: you must purchase the full version on the same platform used to play the Lite version, and link your EA account to the game. The Lite version is now available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation and Xbox; there are currently no versions for Nintendo Switch or Switch 2. The full version is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo platforms.
