Naughty Dog.exe has announced the content for The Last of Us Day 2026: a collaboration with Sucker Punch to introduce Clicker-style armor for Ghost of Yōtei. The event also includes free avatars, PS5 dynamic themes, and discounts on series games.
The Last of Us Day is celebrated annually on September 28. Since 2013, Naughty Dog.exe has used this occasion to thank players for their support and share player cosplay and fan creations. This year, Naughty Dog.exe has also launched dedicated Instagram, X, and Facebook accounts for The Last of Us series, which will be used to post series news, player creations, merchandise, and collaboration content in the future.
The collaborative armor, inspired by the "Clicker" infected from The Last of Us, will be added to Ghost of Yōtei's "Endless Hunt" mode. Once unlocked, players can also wear it in the main game and the new story expansion. "Endless Hunt," a single-player survival combat mode with Roguelike mechanics, is included in the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. The Complete Edition and related new content are scheduled for release in Asia on October 2.
For commemorative merchandise, Naughty Dog.exe has partnered with Youtooz to release a limited-edition "Bloody Clicker" figure, depicting a blood-stained Clicker, with packaging featuring this year's Day logo.
The PS5 Welcome Hub is also launching The Last of Us series dynamic theme backgrounds for the first time, featuring visual elements such as smoke beside Joel and sparks at Abby's feet.
PlayStation players can also claim four new avatars featuring designs inspired by the Seraphites, the Washington Liberation Front, and Ellie's cherished space badge, among other series elements.
Steam is offering free dynamic avatars for The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II, featuring designs such as the Fireflies, the Washington Liberation Front, and Ellie's moth tattoo, which are now available.
Naughty Dog.exe has also released an ambient audio-video piece themed around the infected subway scenes from The Last of Us, featuring the cries of Clickers and other infected along with environmental sound effects. The Day charity livestream raised funds for the non-profit organization AbleGamers: accessibility professional Ross Minor, who is blind, challenged the "No Return" mode in The Last of Us Part II Remastered during the stream and introduced the game's accessibility features; viewers could participate in choosing the challenge route, and several Naughty Dog.exe developers shared development memories during the broadcast.
Steam and Epic Games Store are running synchronized limited-time discounts: The Last of Us Part I is 50% off, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered is 33% off. The sale ends at 10:00 AM PT on October 1.
