Recently, a new version of a PS5 jailbreak tool has leaked, with this solution supporting both the original PS5 and the PS5 Pro.
Blogger Lance McDonald stated that, except for devices updated within the past week or so, PS5 consoles can now be jailbroken; when asked about the PS5 Pro, he confirmed it is also included. This is his statement on the scope of applicability, and there are currently no results from individual console verifications.
The relevant jailbreak discovery occurred a few weeks ago, with this newer version bypassing some previous restrictions. A video released by MODDED WARFARE refers to this method as "13.60 Relapse" and claims that consoles running firmware versions 7.00 to 13.60 can load the jailbreak within seconds. Whether a device has been recently updated and which firmware version it is currently using are conditions for determining whether these claims apply to a specific console.
Console jailbreaking may allow users to install applications that are normally unavailable, modify their devices, or run games that would otherwise not work. However, attempting to jailbreak also carries risks such as damaging the console, permanent bans on PSN accounts, and potential legal consequences.
