Microsoft's support documentation indicates that the program is aimed at supported Xbox One and Xbox Series X game discs, excluding original Xbox and Xbox 360 game discs. Even within the scope of these two generations, not all games are eligible for conversion.
Microsoft listed factors including technical, licensing, distribution, and manufacturing issues, noting that the list of eligible games may change over time. The currently released information does not provide a complete list of convertible games or individual eligibility results.
The terms accompanying the announcement also remind users that converted digital game licenses can be revoked. Players should still pay attention to the eligibility and relevant licensing terms for specific games when applying.
