Capcom released the arcade story prologue video for the new Street Fighter 6 character, Arjun, on September 30. It details how he came under police suspicion after his partner Karna was murdered and ultimately fled. Arjun is scheduled to launch on October 13 as part of the game's Year 4 additional content.
The prologue opens with Arjun holding an injured and bleeding Karna. Before dying, Karna mentions that the attacker possessed unusual power. The police then find Arjun at the scene and take him in for questioning.
Arjun had previously assisted Karna in a secret investigation, but since they left no official records, he struggled to prove his involvement. The police suspected that Arjun might have lured out Karna, with whom he had a strained relationship, and murdered him. Arjun admitted to disliking certain aspects of his partner's methods but still praised Karna as an excellent investigator and his comrade.
To ensure Karna's investigation was not in vain, Arjun chose to flee, becoming a fugitive wanted by the police. This prologue does not yet reveal the true attacker. Arjun is one of the four additional characters for Year 4 of Street Fighter 6, and the second to be released after Yasmin.
