The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon HOME is scheduled for maintenance on October 7 from 9:00 to 15:00 to prepare for the integration of the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen. During the maintenance period, all Pokémon HOME services will be suspended; both the Switch and mobile versions must be updated to version 4.1.0.
This collaboration is with the Nintendo Switch port releasing on February 27, 2026, not the original Game Boy Advance version from 2004. Following the standard linking method, players can transfer Pokémon obtained in the game to Pokémon HOME and then move them to other titles in the series; this transfer is one-way, meaning Pokémon cannot be returned to the original game once sent. Specific features are subject to the announcements made after maintenance concludes.
After completing the corresponding Pokédex in the mobile version of Pokémon HOME, players can receive a Celebi nicknamed "Mitsurin." The registration status from the original game will sync with the relevant Pokédex in Pokémon HOME, so players do not need to transfer out all their Pokémon just to complete the Pokédex.
The Pokémon storage limit for the Premium Plan will increase from 6,000 to 9,000, with the price remaining unchanged.
