Neighborhood Party Chaos Erupts: Neighbors: Suburban Warfare Launches Version 1.0 – Free to Play Starting Today!

街区派对战火骤起:《家有恶邻》 正式上线 1.0 版本 今日开启免费游玩!

Grab your frying pan, put on your boxing gloves—the battle for suburban supremacy has begun, and this time, victory won't be decided at a bake sale. Neighbors: Suburban Warfare, the multiplayer party brawler from developer Invisible Walls, is now available as a free-to-play title on Steam PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-platform play support.

Welcome back to Heartsville: where lawns are immaculately trimmed, home-cooked meals simmer on the stove, and every single neighbor deserves a good thrashing. Following its Early Access launch on Steam in April 2025, Neighbors: Suburban Warfare officially reaches version 1.0, bringing the biggest neighborhood overhaul yet. Stop making awkward small talk over the garden fence—resolve disputes the most reasonable way possible: by smashing your neighbors' homes to pieces.

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare takes place on an idyllic suburban street that would be perfectly pleasant—if only the residents would stop beating each other up with gardening tools. Team up for fast-paced PvP and PvE battles. Choose your favorite hero, grab a sufficiently intimidating household item, fortify your defenses, and pay a "friendly visit" to your neighbors' homes. Try to make it back in time for dinner.

The Neighborhood is Doomed: Version 1.0 Content

Just because Early Access has ended doesn't mean Heartsville's residents have suddenly learned to resolve conflicts rationally. Version 1.0 introduces plenty of new ways to wreck homes, including a new character, Gwen—a cheerleader bursting with energy but completely lacking in team spirit. Alongside Gwen comes a brand-new Mid-Century Modern house, clearly in need of some renovation. Consider the demolition crew already booked.

What better way to celebrate a new version than with more game modes? "Smash Dash" turns the neighborhood into a pure race against time: smash your opponents' prized possessions before they can retaliate; "Brawl" removes houses entirely for face-to-face combat; "Prop Hunt" lets players disguise themselves as yard furniture and blend in with everyday objects; and "Robot Invasion" finally gives everyone a common enemy—a PvE showdown where you team up to fight off waves of mechanical invaders. It seems all it takes to unite the neighborhood is a robot uprising.

Home is where you bury the bear traps

The rules of suburban warfare remain beautifully simple: defend your home and wreak havoc on everyone else's. Players can fortify their houses with electric fences, alarm cans, and various other traps and gadgets, then grab whatever is at hand to breach enemy lines. A rolling pin? Weapon. A golf club? Weapon. A seagull capable of rapid-fire strafing? Unfortunately, also a weapon.

Each hero brings unique abilities and playstyles to the street, drawn from Heartsville's cast of "wonderfully" dysfunctional locals. Whether it's the seemingly harmless but actually dangerous grandma, the dad everyone on the HOA wants to recruit, or other unexpected warriors from the same zip code, players can unlock and equip various cosmetics for them—because even if you're bound to get kicked out of someone's kitchen, you might as well go out in style.

A Block Party for Everyone

The game has shifted from paid Early Access to free-to-play, so anyone can now jump into the neighborhood chaos with friends on PC and consoles. With cross-platform play supported, the only boundary you need to worry about is your own property line! Version 1.0 is the perfect time to gather your squad—and find out which friend absolutely cannot be trusted to watch your house.

Neighbors: Suburban Warfare is now free to play on Steam PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-platform play support. For more information and the latest updates, join the official Discord.
