Indie developer RRR announced on September 30 that the humanoid mecha 3D action game CodePhantom will release its demo on Steam on October 8. In the game, players will pilot a humanoid mecha known as "PHANTOM" in battle.
Units can maneuver across the battlefield using thrusters, jumps, and dodges. In the game's setting, pilots synchronize with their units via neural links; engaging enemies increases the synchronization rate, thereby enhancing the unit's capabilities.
When the synchronization rate exceeds the normal limit, the unit enters a "Hyper-Sync" state, significantly boosting combat speed. For weaponry, players can equip rifles, Gatling guns, shotguns, pistols, and blades according to their combat preferences and mission requirements; different weapons will also alter the unit's performance.
CodePhantom will also participate in the Steam Next Fest scheduled for October 20–27, 2026 (Japan time). The full PC version is planned for release in late 2026.
