Publisher Shochiku and developer Denneko Yuugi have announced that the roguelike 3D action game Mugen Gakurou will launch on Switch and PC via Steam on November 5. The previously unannounced Switch version was also confirmed in this update.
Players will control the protagonist Retra, a hooded character with cat ears who wields dual weapons, as she explores mysterious dream labyrinths and strengthens her abilities along the way.
In combat, players can execute combos with simple inputs, or choose to dodge, block with a shield, or attack proactively based on enemy actions. When the Tension Gauge is full, characters can enter an enhanced state and unleash special moves called "Transcendence Arts."
The "Attribute" items obtained through exploration can enhance character abilities and unlock new actions. Each combination of enhancements acquired and the combat situations encountered will influence your playstyle. The officials also introduced the game's anime-style characters, animations, and cutscene performances, releasing a new trailer alongside the launch date announcement.
