SNK announced that the free demo for "Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves" will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store starting September 30. The demo includes six characters and modes such as Arcade and Training; the Nintendo Switch 2 version is expected to launch in late October.
The demo features Rock, Terry, Hotaru Futaba, Preecha, B. Jenet, and Mai Shiranui. In addition to Arcade and Training modes, it also offers Classic Versus, Tutorial, Challenge, and character color editing.
The Arcade mode has been specially adapted for the demo. Players can choose Rock, Terry, or Hotaru Futaba to experience two matches, from the prologue to the rival battle. Classic Versus supports player vs. CPU or CPU vs. CPU, but does not support two-player versus matches.
In terms of controls, the demo offers both traditional arcade controls and a simplified control scheme that allows special moves and combos to be executed with a single button.
SNK stated that the demo is for offline single-player experience only and does not support online play; save data and color settings from the demo cannot be carried over to the full version.
