After Sony opened pre-orders for God of War: Ragnarök, PS Store DB tracked the game reaching second place across 44 PlayStation Store regions. With a new protagonist taking the lead, there were prior concerns that its performance might not match previous entries featuring Kratos.
Among these 44 regions, the only title ranking ahead of God of War: Ragnarök is the yet-to-be-released GTA 6. The Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes extra items and comes at a higher price, also performed strongly on the pre-order charts.
The currently released data reflects store chart positions only, not actual pre-order units or revenue in these regions, so sales figures cannot be inferred from it. The game is scheduled for release on February 15.
